Who We Are and What We Do

St. John’s Rehab Foundation fundraises in support of St. John's Rehab Hospital, the only hospital in Ontario solely dedicated to specialized rehabilitation. With your generous support, we help the hospital's expert staff rebuild patients’ lives by raising funds for equipment, redevelopment, education and research.

$3 Million Investment to Fund Discoveries That Rebuild Lives

On November 3, 2011, long-time supporters John C. and Sally Horsfall Eaton announced a new $3 million gift to establish the John and Sally Eaton Chair in Rehabilitation Research. The Eatons' gift is the largest private donation in St. John's Rehab history. To learn more about the hospital's first-ever research chair, please read the news release.

Join us on Sunday, March 18 for the 2012 5K Run with the St. John's Rehab Team. The annual run/walk, held at Steam Whistle Brewing in downtown Toronto, has raised close to $250,000 since 2008 toward specialized rehabilitation equipment, and to support our expert staff in continuing to provide leading patient care. Register today - spots are limited!

Message to the Community

On July 18, 2011, St. John's Rehab Hospital and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre announced that they have reached agreement on a memorandum of understanding that would see the two organizations merge voluntarily to become a comprehensive health care provider. Please read the hospitals' joint message for up-to-date information on the merger.
