You can help by investing in research

Health care leadership is not only about great care today. It’s also about striking out into new territory to develop great care for tomorrow.

St. John’s Rehab actively works with its partners to advance rehabilitation science and to study successful patient recovery.

Research allows the hospital to continuously improve patient care techniques and programs. The rehabilitation research program is interwoven with everyday interdisciplinary clinical practice. Our researchers and clinicians work closely to study and solve issues identified by patients themselves during the recovery process.

Sustained resources through either endowed or multi-year funds help St. John's Rehab advance rehabilitation care. Fellowships and funding for studies can help probe for new cancer interventions, devise new treatment methods for amputee and burn patients, and ensure more transplant patients resume healthier lives.

On November 3, 2011, the St. John's Rehab research program got a major boost from long-time supporters John C. and Sally Horsfall Eaton.  The Eatons' $3 million gift will establish the John and Sally Eaton Chair in Rehabilitation Research, the hospital's first-ever research chair. To learn more about the gift and what it means for the research program at St. John's Rehab, please read the news release.
